日本館バザーへのご協力ありがとうございました

イリノイ大学アーバナシャンペン校(University of Illinois at Urbana-Chamaign)には日本館（Japan House）があります．米国中西部では唯一の広大な日本庭園を備えた日本建築で，華道，茶道等日本文化に係る様々な教育を行う他，各種イベントを通して日本文化を米国に伝える拠点であり，JICではこれまで桜や銘板の寄贈等を含め，様々な支援を行ってきました．今年はこの日本館で12月13日から15日にバザーが行われ，3日間で約300人の方が参加されました．JICでは JIC Women's Networkが中心となって着物，浴衣，日本人形，茶道具等様々なグッズを会員の皆様から寄贈していただいて日本館に送付，写真のように大盛況にバザーを終えることができました．

JICの活動内容
イリノイ大学日本同窓会では次の活動を行っています
リユニオンパーティ
毎年6月あるいは7月に実施するレリユニオンパーティをはじめ，ご家族や友人の皆様と一緒に参加できるイベントを開催します

Japan Illini Club会員の皆様の活動の様子や最新のイリノイ大学情報等を共有するため，Newsletterを発行しています．

小山八郎記念奨学制度
日本の大学に在籍する日本人の学生を，毎年４名選考し，イリノイ大学に授業料無料で送る制度です．国内の各大学でイリノイ大学との交換留学制度が充実してきたのにともない，42年目の2017年を最後に本制度は終了しました
Koyama Hachiro Memorial Scholarship Program
This program selects four Japanese students enrolled in Japanese universities each year and sends them to the University of Illinois free of tuition. As exchange programs with the University of Illinois have become more established at universities throughout Japan, this program came to an end in 2017, its 42nd year.
